Gmail getting offical themes

Today on the offical Gmail blog they are adding support for Gmail themes. Should add a visual interesting twist to the Gmail experience.

Google Browser

It's offical, here is the Google's blog post talking about it. I read the linked comic book in their blog entry. Actually not that bad, and interesting as well. Looking forward to downloading the beta. Some of the new interesting features:

  • Open Source
  • Different spin on how tabs are used
  • Hyper threaded! One window crashing won't bring down the entire browser!
  • Better memory management
  • Will run on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, Mac, maybe more?)
  • Using an entire different engine for Javascript

Google Browser Sync goes Open Source

This blog entry from Google says it is going open source! W00t! I really like Google Browser Sync for Firefox and was sad to hear that they were discontinuing support. I am using Foxmarks now, but will go back to Google Browser Sync in a heartbeat if they get that going again. Thanks Google!

Looks like CAPTCHA is about dead…

Got some e-mail from a tech friend of mine. Looks like CAPTCHA has about had it. Interesting article from Websense Security Labs.

I guess not only Hotmail got hit, but also Google. Great, bring on the spam...
