Personas for Firefox

icon_firefox-personas_m1While working on the Mozilla Weave stuff, I found Personas for Firefox. In my spare time (ha!) I like to make Firefox themes. This Personas addon does not replace themes, but enchances them it looks like. I was applying Personas to the theme I develop My_buuf, and it was making it look pretty cool. Also, the home page for Personas says version 2.x, but I was using it with my 3.x version for Firefox. So, your milage may vary.

*** Update, my Firefox Add-ons had an update that address the version 3.x of Firefox

Using a Personal Mozilla Weave Server for Bookmark syncing

icon_weave_sWhen I found out Google Browser Sync (for Firefox) was going away I was bummed. I really like how I could sync up my bookmarks using my Google info, basically all in one easy place. Well after some digging around, I was able to find Mozilla Weave (this was before GBS put links on their page to it). Unfortunately when I did find it, it was closed for new users due to too much traffic/users. Bummer. Well alas, I found that I could run my own server via Mozilla Weave forums, here is the link to the info on how to build your own Weave server. Fortunately it is not too hard to setup and looks pretty easy to maintain.

Ubiquity from Mozilla Labs

This is a really nice addon for Firefox. I have been using it for a bit this morning and can see a lot of potential. Can't wait to see if they can do anything with it for mobile devices. I saw a lot of comparisons with Quicksilver used on the Macs.

My_buuf v2.0 for Firefox v3.0

...and without further ado, here it is. Pretty much same as the last one for Firefox v2.0, but for 3.0 now. Hope you like it as much as I have had fun making it.
