I have been for the last week working on an upgrade from SPS 3.0 to SharePoint Server 2007. Did the upgrade in my VMWare lab at home first to see if there were any major gotchas and the upgrade went very smooth, so I was ready to tackle the production environment at work. Here is a good article about building a cheap Linux file server. It took a little longer than the advertised 45 minutes for me, mostly because I was using the latest/greatest version of Ubuntu and on a AMD x64, so there was a php5-mcrypt problem. If you are really interested in it (I am sure you are probably not <grin>), take a look at the comments section where I posted my fix for the problem.

I created this a few months ago. Have no idea if anybody is using it (if you are, please let me know). I use it about once a month.
